The Restaurant El Lago presents the Route of Taste

An original initiative in which the restaurant manager, Paco Garcia and his chef, Diego del Río, accompany our clients in the morning to the countryside, to taste and learn all about the fruits and vegetables which they are going to eat in the evening at dinner and to participate in the production of the traditional bread and cheese.

The Route of Taste joins the already established Gastronomic Getaway of Restaurant El Lago , which allows customers to cook previously with Diego del Río in the afternoon some dishes from the gourmet dinner. The route will take place only on one Saturday of each month. The first three will be held on: 17t.03, 21.04 and 12.05.

The price is of 230 euros per person including VAT. Including: two nights from Friday to Sunday in one of Greenlife Golf´s studios located next to the restaurant El Lago.

PROGRAM: Friday: Arrival and accommodation.

Saturday: 9.30 – Departure from Greenlife Golf accompanied by Paco Garcia and Diego del Río. 10.00 – Breakfast in the artisan bakery El Colmenero of Alhaurin de la Torre, museum visits, reporting on production of artisan bread and tasting of loaves. 12.00 - Visit to the organic Finca “Huertas Viejas de Coin”Explanation of the ecological production system tasting fruits and vegetables. 13.30 – Visit to The production of cheese Hortelana. Explanation of the production and tasting of the artisan cheese.

15.15 – Arrival at Greenlife Golf and lunch at the Restaurant El Lago. 18.30 – Gastronomic speech including preparation in the kitchen of two of the dishes from the Tasting Menu with Chef Diego del Ríor. As a present each personreceives an apron of El Lago and a written copy of the recipes  which have been cooked. From 21.00 – Tasting Menu with wine
