The Restaurant El Lago presents the Route of Taste

It is an initiative, which began spring 2011, has been a success and that´s why the restaurant has repeated it many times. Our goal is that the resaturant´s clients get to know personally some of the best products of Andalusia. Participants in “La Ruta del Sabor” visit the organic garden Hevilla and family artisanal cheese production of The Coin Hortelana and also the artisan bakery Antonio Colmenero of Alhaurin, accompanied with explanations of the Director of El Lagoe, Paco Garcia and Chef Diego del Río. Customers can give “La Ruta del Sabor” as a present to their partners, family or friends.The proposal also includes a meal then on the restaurant, cooking with Diego del Río in the afternoon and the Gourmet Dinner with wine pairings for the evening, plus two nights accommodation in a great studio located in Greenlife Golf where the restaurant is.

PROGRAM: Friday: Arrival and accommodation.

Saturday: 9.30 – Departure from Greenlife Golf accompanied by Paco Garcia and Diego del Río. 10.00 – Breakfast in the artisan bakery El Colmenero of Alhaurin de la Torre, museum visits, reporting on production of artisan bread and tasting of loaves. 12.00 - Visit to the organic Finca “Huertas Viejas de Coin”Explanation of the ecological production system tasting fruits and vegetables. 13.30 – Visit to The production of cheese Hortelana. Explanation of the production and tasting of the artisan cheese.

15.15 – Arrival at Greenlife Golf and lunch at the Restaurant El Lago. 18.30 – Gastronomic speech including preparation in the kitchen of two of the dishes from the Tasting Menu with Chef Diego del Ríor. As a present each personreceives an apron of El Lago and a written copy of the recipes  which have been cooked. From 21.00 – Tasting Menu with wine
