As an antidote to the frenzy of summer in Marbella, head to El Lago, on the shore of a picturesque private lake, one of the Costa del Sol’s legendary fine-dining restaurants since 2000. Here, this haven of peace and tranquillity (sensations enhanced by the harmony of the surroundings and views of a large lake, especially from the stunning summer terrace) provides the ideal backdrop for the perfect meal. In the kitchen, the focus is on an extensive single à la carte menu that aims to perpetuate El Lago’s cuisine through its focus on contemporary and seasonal Andalucian recipes that makes full use of zero-mile or locally sourced ingredients.
